Jimmy walked into the cafeteria but didn't wait in line. If anyone questioned him cutting he'd knock them in the face. Once he got his food he sat down at the table. The girls were just being released for lunch and the guards usually let them sit co-ed. If anything got frisky theyd divide them up. Jimmy always had someone sitting with him, usually girls.

Aiden strolled into the cafe, blond hair pulled back into a loose bun. She had just been released and although she didn't like the food they served, she noted that it was better than the junk they served at her school. Standing in line, she waited, foot tapping constantly, impatiently, as she waited. Once up, she had no choice as to what to eat, took the plate of food and left the line quickly, trying to find a place to sit.
Noticing a man sitting at a table, for the most part alone, she peered around before walking in his direction and sat down without asking. She never asked anymore, after getting her ass kicked the first time, she had stopped and would put up a fight if someone had a problem with it.
Her plastic fork mashed at the mushy food on the plate, wondering whether she should eat it.

James looked up at her. "Well well who do we have here?" he asked. His scar on his face was more visible when he lifted his head up to her. It began at the top of his forehead and slashed down to the side of his eye. It didnt effect his sight but a lot of people stared at it when they first met him. Jimmy looked at the blonde women. He knew most people here because that's how he was, but he didnt recognize her. "You new?" he asked

The girl glanced up at him from her food, then looked back down at it. "What's it to you?" she asked, then replied "A couple of months" to him afterwards. She hadn't seen the man much since she was too busy trying to make a name for herself in this shit hole. Things were more rough in here than in juvie, but she was learning to cope.

He looked at her. "A little feisty?" he laughed. "I'm James...Jimmy." he said to her. "And well you being a newbie I woulndt mind showing you the ropes" he said. "Ever been to a co-ed prison? It has it's perks" he smirked giving her a glance over. "Can I get your name?"

Aiden looked over to him, taking in every detail of his being. "Names AJ," she told him, "that's all you need to know." There wasn't much to say, she kept to herself and it seemed every time she spoke, she'd get herself into a fight.
Picking up her fork, she spooned a pile of food. It seemed alright, at least she thought so. Finally eating it after a couple of seconds, the taste rotted her mouth, and she pushed the plate and the fork away from her.
"How long've you been here?" she asked casually.

"About year" he said. He watched her painful gulp down the food "you get used to it. Becomes thanksgiving, espescially when they throw you in isolation" he smirked. "They give you teh scrap food when your in there, let me tell ya that tastes like shit." he explained to her.
he thought she was pretty. Didn't look like she did drugs some of the uglier girls in here. He liked a clean cut girl he could get into.

She looked over at him, rolling her eyes at his statement. "What do you mean, this already tastes likes Thanksgiving," she replied sarcastically. Already in the few month period of her arrival, the food slowly seemed to get better, but it still didn't taste like home, or the truck stops for that matter. She had run away so many times it was a bit hard to remember exactly where she lived. The place she called home was the cars, trucks, SUV of those she hitchhiked with.
Looking over at him, he wasn't in the best of shapes, the scar being the dead give away. Her eyes wandered to others in the room, some with sunken in faces, ratty hair and looks as if they could care less what people thought of them by this point. She still cared, still wanted to look presentable even in this dead place. Getting out wasn't really an option, not yet at least, not until she knew ever square inch of the grounds, the times of shift changes and the guards. She would plan an unforgettable escape, and if it didn't go as planned, she wanted everyone to know just how hard she had tried and have her story passed on from inmate to inmate.
"What do you guys do for fun in here?" she asked. "Is it Jimmy or James?" she questioned, not sure which one to call him by, not that she expected to become good friends with the guy, it was just for a mental note.

"James, Jimmy, JimmyK, whichever you prefer" he said leaning back. He watched as she galnced around the room. He could tell she was disgusted with them. Jimmy hair wasnt nearly as ratty, his face was thin from drugs and the scar was obvious. He saw her gaze at it as a while. "I got it on the outside, knife fight, you shoulda seen the other guy" he said to her unasked question.
"As far as the food goes, I can get you a lot better than what you ended up with it. Oh by the way...dont eat the broccoli...I know the dogs get near it and well lets just say broccli gets there bladder full." he said. "You want a notch up food wise...hang on." He looked down the table "Yo jamie" he said.
A tall man looked over. He had a large nose and was in about his 30s. "Hey man hook me up for hte litle lady here"
"It'll cost you man" jamie said "Hey...shes new, now how bout as long as i dont tell the guards about your night with maria and we call it a deal"
Jamie suddenly went pale. "Chill out here" he said handing him a whopper from burger king. He handed it to her "voila"

She smiled at him, and shook her head. "Right, not broccoli," she noted.
Watching Jimmy talking to the guy, she wanted to have connections with people like he had. She listened and watched, and smirked when he handed her the burger. Taking it from him, she took a bit from it, wiped her face a bit, chewed then replied. "Tastes like home," she commented.

"Sweetheart, once you know your way around, this'll feel better than home." It was clear that he had embraced this hard life. Then again Jimmy never had much of a life, he was a cast off in his family. He entered his parents lives when a child was unecessary and it only got worse from there. It didn't help his father was a friggin cop himself, a prestigious one at that. In fact, it had been a man who his father had worked with before that Jimmy had shot.

"Anything is better than home," she commented. Her life consisted of running away, screaming, fighting and breaking things. Hell was better than her life at times.
Looking around, she searched faces of the guards, and anyone else looking in her direction. She didn't mind that Jimmy was there, he seemed to already be in deep with trades and such, so it didn't matter if he caught her taking items. She grabbed every utensil she found on the table, quickly took it, and stashed it away in her outfit, one that looked like everyone elses. She'd add them to her collection, and get a lighter soon.
Looking over at him, she asked once more, "What do you guys do for fun? You never answered my question."

"Anything" He said. "It's all a game in here" he said "I guess I should be a 'good prisoner' and tell you" he said jokingly. "Theres the outdoor stuff, baseball, basketball, football, cards, playing for cigs, whatever. And of course being co-ed has its perks...but if you plan on fuckin someone....make sure you and whoever it is have a plan...being caught fuckin is one of the worst things you can do...they aint to nice about it" he said

She smirked, "Sounds fun," she commented. "Basically for fun you beat people with bats, get into fights, tackle them, cheat and steal. Sounds like my kinda place," she thought aloud. "As for getting caught, I've been caught twice in my four year career, got myself out of the first one then landed here because someone slipped up and I was found. I'm sure it's not hard to hide from the guards," she commented, inwardly smirking at the large men who kept an eye on everyone. She was one for adventures, and if that meant playing hide and go seek with the guards, she was up to it.
